Qatar University and QLife Pharma Sign MoU

In a significant step towards fostering collaboration in the pharmaceutical sector, Qatar University (QU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with QLife Pharma. This agreement aims to strengthen partnerships in scientific, technical, administrative, and research domains, marking a pivotal moment for both institutions.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Asma Ali Al-Thani, Vice President for Health and Medical Sciences at QU and Dr. Ahmed Hamad Al-Mohannadi, Chairman of QLife Pharma. The signing ceremony was attended by officials from both institutions, showcasing the importance of this collaboration to their respective fields.

The MoU outlines several key areas of collaboration, aimed at enhancing both educational and industrial outcomes. One of the primary focuses is on the exchange of expertise and information, which includes sharing newsletters, journals, studies, statistics, and relevant data between QU and QLife Pharma. This cooperation also extends to the organization of joint events, including conferences, meetings, and training sessions that will foster closer ties between the academic and pharmaceutical sectors. Furthermore, both institutions will participate in research and development initiatives, including joint research projects, faculty development programs, and the co-funding of grant applications to further innovation in the pharmaceutical field.

Another important aspect of the partnership is student engagement. The MoU provides for a range of opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to participate in internships that offer hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry. This aspect of the collaboration is designed to prepare the next generation of professionals by giving them access to industry-level resources and practical knowledge.
